Siri Guru Angad Dev Ji

Guru Angad Dev ji was "The Fount of Sewa and Bhagti"
On 7 th september 1539 GURU NANAK DEV JI dparted his Sikhs to."Being of the Beloved Lord" and his light ws transferred to Guru Angad Dev ji who was installed as his successor and who carried the responsibility on nurturing what was planted by Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Guru Angad Dev ji was born on the 1st of Vaisakh in the Samat 1561 or 1504 A.D in mattay Dee Sairan in ferozepur. The proud father was Sri Pheru Mal Ji and the mother was Mata Sabrai ji.He was married o Sri Kheevee ji in Samat 1576 or 1591 A.D.He had two sons namely Dassu and Dattu and two daughters Amro and Anokhi.
Guru Angad Devji invented and introduced the Gurumukhi Script(Punjabi language)and made it known to all Gurusikhs.The scriptures in the holy Guru Granth Sahib ji are all in Gurumukhi.The two qualities which he taught to sikhs was "Self-less service" and showed them the way to "Devotional prayers".He collected the facts about Guru Nanak Ji's life from Bhai Bala and wrote the first biography of Guru Nanak Ji. He also wrote 63 Saloks (stanzas), which are included in the Guru Granth Sahib. He popularised and expanded the institution of Guru ka Langar (the Guru's communal kitchen) that had been started by Guru Nanak Ji.

GURU NANAK DEVJI

The first guru of SIKH among ten is GURU NANAK DEVJI who was not only the founder of SIKHISM but also brought to light the cardial religious truths and percepts that had been scattered ,in explicit form or implicitly through the religious legacies of a number of fore-runners of faith.

GURU NANAK DEVJI was born in TALWANDI , now known as NANKANA SAHIB in 1469.The proud FATHER was MEHTA KALU JI and the blessed MOTHER was MATA TRIPTA JI . He had very beloved sister called BEBE NANKEE. He was married to SRI SULKHANI JI daughter of MUL CHAND at PUKHO KE RANDHAWAY . He had two sons namely BABA SRI CHAND JI and BABA LAKHAMI DASJI .He founded KARTARPUR.

The Sikhs have received the highest form of grace from the One and only GOD,whose name is eternal truth,who is the maker of all things,who fears nothing and is at enmity with nothing,whose image is timeless,who is not begotten since he is of his own and who can be made known to men by the grace of GURU.TEN GURUS to guide them to him.
A guru is a spiritual guide and all the gurus of SIKHS have enlightened them and have raised their spirits to such a level where they can be one with GOD ALMIGHTY.The GURUS are the light bearers to mankind and are the messengers of the timeless.They are universal men who free our minds from bogotry and superstition,rituals n stereotyped action , and emphasize central simplicity of religion. they appear outside in human form to those who crave for visible and physical guide.The enlighteners are the inner captives.
the universe is the temple of GOD but without the GURUS ,darkness reigns supreme.And those that think otherwise,they are the most ignorant of people.
GURU is like GOD in power ,a creator , a protector and a destroyer.GURU has got the capacity to punish the evil doer and to protect the virtuous and the poor.

I have sold myself to the GURU ,body and soul.
